ADMI offers several pathways for students at various stages of their education.
ADMI has been the solution to individuals that would like more practical skills in their industry and internship placement, either during or after their university degree. Offering the perfect finishing school to complement or polish your skills after university, we offer certificates and diplomas to help you specialize with a global and practical certification.
ADMI is a TVETA-accredited institution, meaning that we are bound by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) framework. To conform to the standards set by the authority, students are required to participate in classes, practicals, industry immersion and attachment in order to attain the 2400 hours for diploma courses, and 1200 hours for the certificate courses.
This means that once you earn an ADMI certificate or diploma, you can transfer your credits seamlessly to any college or university in the world. An ADMI diploma qualifies students to enroll in other universities and complete 2400 hours to pursue their level 7 Bachelor’s degree, and an ADMI certificate qualifies students to enroll in other institutions and complete 1200 hours to pursue their level 6 Diploma.
Students have the option of joining one of 2 apprenticeships, the ADMI App Factory & Multimedia Lab. By enrolling, you get 6 or 12 months to work on genuine client briefs from multinational clients including IBM and I&M Bank. Supervised by a professional project manager, you get to experience a genuine work environment under normal workplace norms. The lab facilities are benchmarked on these first-class office environments.
This experience is ideal for tech, media or business graduates who are looking for more than an internship and are keen to boost their CV and set themselves apart in a competitive global marketplace. The Multimedia Lab offers diploma & degree graduates an opportunity to polish their digital media skills delivering actual client briefs drawing on cross-functional competencies in film, photography, graphic design, animation, sound, and digital marketing as well as business and project management.
Working under the tutelage of an experienced Project Manager, the apprentices will undergo all the stages of a workplace project, from client negotiation to project budgeting, participating in collaborative teamwork under structured workflows to deliver on time, under budget and to the quality the clients demand.
At the end of the 4- or 8-month period, the apprentice will have a robust portfolio showing actual work for leading regional and global companies.
The ADMI App Factory offers Africa’s game development enthusiasts the hands-on experience they need to succeed as professional game developers – able to design and develop, for a cloud-first and mobile-first world. The apprentices are individuals passionate about coding, gaming and modern object-oriented coding practices with a good understanding of full-stack development.
Apprentices in the AppFactory will be part of a development team responsible for delivering briefs commissioned by diverse multinational clients. Mentorships will be offered by dedicated senior developers in the real world, a high-pressure environment of professional game development. This apprenticeship is best suited for hard-working individuals who are interested in intensive learning and enjoy bringing their creative ideas for mobile games to life.
