What’s your story:

ADMI teaches you to think outside the box and while I was there I got a shot using a smartphone. This won a grant that went into making a proper short interactive film called Wafula. After school, I have been a cameraman and video editor on international projects and local ones that ranged from television content to documentaries. Currently, I enjoy mentoring aspiring filmmakers and experimenting on smartphone filmmaking with passion projects as I make a living as a screenwriter, video editor and SEO article writer.

What inspires you

Works of legendary auteurs like Billy Wilder, Robert Rodriguez, Tim Burton, Scorsese, Tim Miller, Spielberg, Tarantino, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Wong Kar Wai, Akira Kurosawa, Jerry Bruckheimer, James Cameron among many many more.

What are your career aspirations

To successfully write and direct African periodical feature films on Kenyan legends like Mekatilili Wa Menza and adapt popular literature such as Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o’s novels and John Kiriamiti’s among other African greats.
