ADMI’s Foundation Certificate in Photography prepares you for the creative, conceptual and technical demands of a career as a photographer or multimedia practitioner. Using our state-of-the-art cameras, you will learn to light, shoot, edit and print photos. The course also exposes you to various genres of photography and teaches you to tell stories using photography.
COURSE DURATION: 1 Semester
CREDITS: Average of 5 units per term with 24 contact hours each
Students who score a D- and do not meet the minimum (C-) for joining a diploma program on their KCSE are required to complete the foundation Certificate in Photography before progressing to a diploma programme.

Upon successful completion of the Photography course, you will be able to:
- Operate industry-standard cameras in order to capture still and motion-based images

Abraham Ali is a passionate story-teller using images has worked in many countries across Africa, has worked for Corporates – local and multi-nationals, Advertising agencies, News agencies, Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations. Such as SCANAD Group, SHELL, UNEP -HABITAT, UNHCR, Toyota, Barclays Bank UK, UKAID, the Government of Kenya, among others. He produced an Award-winning documentary for Saferworld – BOND Award 2013. Over the years has worked with many organizations enriching their communication materials aimed at fundraising, project reporting, advertising, providing content for online use on websites. He is keen to teach and mentor upcoming photographers.
Antony Trivet is a Wedding, Portraiture, and Fashion Photographer, as well as a mentor at Slum TV and Mwelu Foundation. His work has been featured in the Photography Association of Kenya (PAK) and Antony was this year nominated for the Kenya Glamour Awards Photographer of the Year. Previously, he was the winner of the Canon Selphy Street Photography Competition 2016, a top finalist in the Nikon Kenya Photo Summit, and recognised as one of the Top 40 Best Kenyan Photographers by CRBC. In 2013, Amnesty International awarded Antony its Photography prize for Poverty and Human Rights. In 2018 he won the Kenya National Award at the Sony World Photography Awards.
