ADMI’s Diploma in Entertainment Business is well-suited for students who desire to pursue a career in the business and management aspects of the music and entertainment industries.
This program emphasizes entertainment management which encompasses promotion, entrepreneurship, and related business skills in the event management, and entertainment industries.
The coursework is centred around key business areas such as finance and marketing, enabling students to use business skills to facilitate and advertise various visual, performing, and media arts and artists.
The program is project-oriented and involves a practical internship, which allows students to observe industry professionals at work and put the theories and concepts they have learned in the classroom into practice in real-world scenarios.
Students will apply all the knowledge and experience they have gained in previous modules. They will identify needs and opportunities in the industry and create a business entertainment project.
The Diploma in Entertainment Business seeks to train talented men and women to be exciting, versatile and accomplished professionals. The programme emphasizes classical values in its training to meet a well-recognized demand for entertainment managers to be technically skilled and creatively inspired.
Internship
Entertainment Business Diploma students will be required to take up a 3-month internship at a real-life establishment such as a music studio, relevant to what they studied.
This will expose students to the working environment and instill in them a positive work attitude. Student soft skills will be assessed by a member of the Placement office while technical skills will be assessed by a member of the Academics team in conjunction with the organizational supervisor. The assessment will be based on the work performance, logbook, and written report at the end of the internship.
High School Education
KCSE C- (Minus) or KCE division II, KACE one (1) Principal or equivalent qualification or Certificate of Experiential Learning or KNQA.
