Games are big business–the global gaming market is worth $100 billion a year! The mobile gaming market alone is worth $40 billion a year.
Upon further study, you could use your game art skills to work for a game development studio both locally and abroad. You could also launch your own independent studio. You will have all the skills you need to create the art for the next Angry Birds or Candy Crush.
Feng Zhu is one of the most famous digital artists working today.
Zhu began his career at only twenty years. He studied architecture at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and began to design futuristic scenes for Hollywood productions. Zhu worked in the videogames industry by creating the concept art for Wing Commander, a famous video games series developed by Origin Systems. At Liquid Entertainment, he was the concept designer for the Battle Realms videogame. Zhu also worked with George Lucas creating concepts for Star Wars: Episode III – The Revenge of the Sith and for Transformers.
KCSE D- or above OR A-levels with 2 principal passes.

Successful applicants should demonstrate a capacity to draw and a will to animate. Applicants will also be required to pass an entrance exam.
Dennis Mbuthia is a professional motion graphics and game designer, who was mentored by some of the animators behind the TV series Tinga Tinga Tales.
He has developed multimedia animations for the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Studies, motion graphic animations for Naswa (TV show), Jambopay, MRI, Data-Fintech, FilmAid, the WHO and AMREF. He holds qualifications from JKUAT, Homeboyz Animation school, Africa Nazarene University and the Gesci-AKE programme.
