The curriculum has been developed by renowned industry professionals to equip you with the skills needed for the entire game development process from an idea to a fully working game deployed on a mobile device. In the process, you will learn video game history, genres in games, creation of game art, and coding.
Any team is as good as its weakest link; Thus the course is designed to gradually transition from working individually to working with a team as you learn to pick specialized roles within the team. This will equip you to be as proficient as an independent developer and a team player in a Game Development Studio.
The course progresses from a Certificate to a Diploma to a Degree and each level has 3 Semesters (2 Semesters in-class blended teaching (4 months each) and 1 Semester internship (3 months)
Mode of study: The course is made of cumulative certifications starting from a Certificate to an optional Diploma and eventually a Degree. Each certification consists of 2 semesters and an internship.
Certificate: 9 Months + 2 Months Internship
Diploma: Certificate + 9 Months + 3 Months Internship
This course is progressive. Successful certificate students have an option to proceed to the Diploma in Game Design & Development. This Game Design & Development Course has been crafted by industry professionals and offers a project-oriented curriculum. You will have a solid foundation in game conception, design, and programming and get the chance to develop publishable mobile games in different market-relevant genres. Skilled video game designers will guide you through the entire development process, to build optimised programs and compelling game levels, and create engaging experiences. In the process, you will learn video game history, theory, and production, including current trends in the market.

Dennis Mbuthia is a professional motion graphics and game designer, who was mentored by some of the animators behind the TV series Tinga Tinga Tales.
He has developed multimedia animations for the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Studies, motion graphic animations for Naswa (TV show), Jambopay, MRI, Data-Fintech, FilmAid, the WHO and AMREF. He holds qualifications from JKUAT, Homeboyz Animation school, Africa Nazarene University and the Gesci-AKE programme.
